depends on how much HD space you have…120 gb or 1 TB.
Wasnt there a huge thread about this last week.
Search the Forum young pad-wan. Answers they will come![]()
…dude i just woke up and its cold here in l.a…must be 40 degrees…blah!
I think there was a thread about HD space…Search the forums buddy!
already been answered loads of time, wave is better , but can you tell the difference ?
i cant…thats why all my mp3s are from blogs and are @128kb…i had to move up from myspace’s 96kb! j/k i need coffee
So that’s why no one pays to get into your party ![]()
it all makes sense now
Wait… is that why no one pays to get into mine either? I always thought it was cause I played goth music
Ha! I just get my cut from the bar, the more people drink, the more money i make.
Man you got to check out craigslist and search services “DJ”
I have over 20000! or I have overr 500 gb of music! WTF?!? Who cares?!
Its about 10 here and im still in my walk-shorts… Man up !!!
[im so jealous]
Use MP3s.
Protip, use hypem to find music blogs and your songs! Usualyl good quality 320!
Also for best quality go with flac :3
quuz… I think JesC was being silly.
hope we’re both talking fahrenheit here ![]()
Wow 128kb! oh hang on it aint 1995
Oh didnt read the name of his nick, I think so too now ![]()
Use 320 or FLAC, either or. Make sure they’re not transcodes and make sure the original source is good, etc. etc.
How can you tell if a file has been transcoded?
pfft its not real djing unless you get all your music from napster and kazaa. but yeah most people cant tell the difference between 96 and 128 unless theyre nerrrrdddddssssssss
/can makes jokes now pls?
haha
I’d say 99% of the music from blogs is ‘320 kbps’ listed but is actually transcoded from 128 bit or so.
To see if your file is transcoded use Adobe Audition or something similar to build a spectral analysis of your song and see where the cutoff frequency is. 320kbit/s should be around 20k cutoff.. So not 18k, 16k or 15k because that would be around 128 kbit/s.
Also, I think most blog releases are actually scene releases but as I said transcoded for all newbs who don’t know the difference between a transcoded and non-transcoded song
use flac from your own cds/vinyls
And thats why you use what.cd because they dont allow transcodes and has loads of flac ![]()
exactly
