8/8 2.5ms soundcard … for under $15

So I haven’t bought a new soundcard yet and needed something to Cue with and opted for the cheapest POSSIBLE option for the time being…$3

NOTE: ($4 gets you volume control on the card)

TBH the choice is one that blew my expectations out of the water! … pics below with concept :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW the Traktor shots are not photoshopped, and run smoothly with 4 decks 2xchanined 2xadvanced units all active and running !

Regards sound quality … its a little less “hissy” than the macbook pro’s built in card !!

Anyone considering a NI Audio 8, or SL2/3 reconsider now, you’ve been warned :stuck_out_tongue:

Note #2: Both Sasha and Richie Hawtin will be using this setup instead of NI or Allen and Heath from now on to avoid their nice gear getting damaged in transport or messy punters .. they estimate they can have 100 spare cards on hand for the weight of a 4D.

several things wrong with this.

the sound quality is piece of trash compared to the soundcards that these djs can afford

people already now about aggregating dif soundcards on mac to use for cue and playing out (ASIO4ALL for pcs). but it should be a temp setup or for at home use.

are you mixing in internal, dont think you can use this for DVS setups

Soundquality will probably suck.. But not suckier than what a regular DJM800 already puts out. Have you heard that thing? :open_mouth:

Apart from the *Obvious Note2 though (which may or may not be a fabrication:sunglasses:slight_smile: .. I am actually getting the 2.5ms on the pesky 'lil $3 card agregatted with the MBP’s built in card :stuck_out_tongue:

I wont say much more other than it sounds about as good as a MBP’s built in card, for $3 there’s no excuse not to throw one in your bag/pocket/swallowed-condom just in case of the unexpected.
