A bit of a random one, but…

What do you use with Traktor/Ableton?

Wired mouse, wired trackball, wireless bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless mouse?

My ageing wireless Microsoft mouse has just died and I need a new one.

Apple Mighty Mouse.

+1

Apple Magic TrackPad

I use my magic mouse, and a Logtitech G9x.

Wired Trackball for me at home and on Gig if there’s room to fit it… case else just the laptop mousepad.

[OT]Mister E: that was my pevious company name in here and still my username on other forum

Wired mouse. Re-chargeable ones are a pain.

The trackpad on my macbook. It’s so good they made the…

…for use with desktops. Who’da thunk that a space saving measure that used to be so crap would evolve into something that many people prefer to a normal mouse.

Same, i had to work on the IMacs at university the other day, and i was getting seriously frustrated with the mouse and lack of a track pad.

I love the 2 finger scrolling and zoom, more intuitive than any mouse i’ve used.

I bought one of the first to have the all in one 4 finger multi touch trackpads and it’s the best mouse of any kind I’ve ever used.

I hate my optical one at work. I also hate the PC it’s plugged into… a 5 year old hp compaq with 1gb or ram and windows XP.

What’s best/being used mostly for a non-Mac system?

Surprised such little amounts of people discuss this considering it’s the main input from user to software.

I use my G9 on both. It’s a gaming mouse, but I like it because I can change the weights inside of it, so it’s less strain on my wrist.

Good point.
Microsoft Arc with MS Intellipoint driver. A work of art and as smooth silk.

I don’t consider a mouse as the main input to Traktor myself, but clever controller keyboards & mapping… but it’s me.

I concur, but I never thought of it as the main interface between hardware/software/operator in general. When playing/mixing/listening the situation IS different. Interesting to see how many DJs’/Controllerists’ NEVER use a mouse or touch pad when running their software and controller(s)

I love the logitech marble mouse

I played online poker for a lot of years and was getting arm/wrist strain from a mouse. With this just my fingers have to move. I have 2.

Also you only need space a big as the trackball since it doesn’t move.

+1 for the Magic Trackpad
