A bit OT: Mac hard drive space tip
If you need to clear some space open iPhoto>click iPhoto menu>empty iPhoto trash. I had no idea it was separate from the normal trash; seems very non Mac like. 
I cleared 11 gigs and I almost never use iPhoto. I have iPhoto 09.
good find… never used iphoto tho 
the first program i bought when i got my mac (mackeeper) is a good little tool for regaining some space and giving a bit of a tune up. its quite the all in one for general maintenance.
VERY nice
been eying that folder using “disk inventory X” and watching it grow seemingly out of control. nice to recoup some of that space.
