A game for the MidiFighter!

A game for the MidiFighter!

For a bit of fun and to help build my strength and dexterity up after I broke a finger I put together a little game for the MidiFighter which I have now shared with you all. DJ TechTools - MF Dexterity Game It’s a stand-alone app for the Mac which I at least find quite fun to play so please check it out and tell me what you think. I only have a MF3D but as far as I’m aware it should work for the Spectra as well. If anyone can get back to me on that it would be much appreciated

App works fairly well, played for it for about 10mins and had a few levels where it would just repeat the same sequence over and over again. Other than that, works great on the Spectra as long as the buttons are set to Ch3 (turning off spark animation is recommended)

What numbers of buttons were you playing with? There are a limited number of combinations so there is a distinct possibility that a pattern could be repeated. I could work on a way to make sure that doesn’t happen perhaps. However given that there’s no feedback (an omission) on my part are you sure that you weren’t pressing an extra button or something? Stuck notes are another issue that I’m aware of that may cause the problems you were describing. A soon as I can figure want causes the pets to stick occasionally I’ll sort it. I may see if I can work on a bit of feedback for when you’ve entered the correct pattern. I’m also reworking the levelling system and how the time is reduced. At the moment it just subtracts half a second every level you progress which caps progress at level 10.'any thanks for your feedback and confirming it works on the Spectra. I should perhaps mention that it’s designed for the default setup I.e. channel 3 I could make that user configurable but it seemed a bit of overkill really…

i mean the same pattern is repeated during the whole length of the level, happened in 2,3 and 4 modes.

Ah right I see what you mean. At present the patterns are generated completely randomly. The app does not keep track of previous patterns so there is a definite possibility that a pattern could be repeated within a level. I’ll have a think and see i I can think of a way to prevent that. Many thanks for the feedback

No worries, keep up the good work

I was very disappointed :disappointed:

Tried playing with MIDI Fighter PRO (Cue). Here is a dump of the console:
