a pretty basic Traktor 2 question…whats beat griding for???
so i started using traktor 2 last week and i know how to beat grid but i dont understand exactly whats for 
it is vital if you use sync.
The sync feature is one reason, however, if you want your FX to sound better i.e. follow the tempo and phrasing of your tune, then beatgridding is essential.
It basically telling Traktor at which point your song begins and where the downbeats are located. Additionally, if you loop your tracks often, it can aid that process even further especially if you use the quantize feature.
