Not bad at all. Thoughts?

I’m not a fan of gimmics, as far as track selection i feel some ppl want to hear the same songs. It’s funny levels is the example cause that gets requested every time i play lol, but weird music is more fun for me haha
The one thing they left out that annoys me the most is when the artists cuss at you ‘ie.. put your motherfuckin hands up’. that really detracts from the experience, just let the music do the talking
True, I’m not a fan of screaming over the mic. They have MC’s for that.
I guess one of the major signs of being a shitty Dj is reading shitty blogs like this.
Damn, I read it ![]()
Yeah, pretty shitty article tbh.
We can thank shitty Facebook for this one
First 3 were def on point. Feel like the last 2 were just ok.
I fall into the Shitty remix category, but I only look for remixes that make me bounce.
Remix’s are something that can make a set. Setting that hook with something that people may recognize with a touch of different funk is something I think is vastly overlooked.
You need to play to your crowd. I’ve been bothered sometimes when DJ’s and producers don’t read the crowd correctly, and don’t go as deep as they could. But some remixes really bring people to the floor, and then you can nail em with something nasty they don’t see coming.
That’s my thought on it at least.
I think this article is just a jaded jab at people, and doesn’t hold any real value. Don’t just shit on people, help them become better.
I think its taking hits at the guys making money who probably think they dont need to be any better since they’re making the money.
eh… the article was ok. But i also enjoyed this article off the same site.

I agree with so many of those choices, especially Oliver, Disclosure and Duke Dumont
Yeah pretty spot on outside of Skrillex, guy has trainwrecked every time I was forced to see him.
yeah i can attest to that. he is a little to violent for my tastes, smashin laptops and cdj’s and stuff.
On the flip side: What's Going to Kill the House Revival?

haha that article pretty much bashes disclosure lol. When i first heard the new album i liked it, it sounded like some cool old skool jackin stuff.
As far as genres go, I’ve probably been through every one. I started out with hardstyle. (i think there might be a video floating around, of a young 14 yr old me, with shuffle pants in my middle school gym, just shufflin to Brooklyn Bounce like crazy) i hope i never see that video again haha. ![]()
I have come to realize that the people I play to just get more enjoyment from house, deep house and stuff like that.
In one show I watched him accidentally pause live tracks and panic, grab the mic, start yelling and just restarting the song all over again. Just annoying watching that kind of shit.
Blogs like this annoy the shit out of me. I’m pretty sure I could sneeze better content than this.
