A Problem I Discovered with the S4 at my last gig…Anyone else have this?

Me and a friend of mine were playing a set on my S4, and we both had our own pairs of headphones. So while unplugging one pair and plugging another pair of headphones into the S4, the music just stopped. I quit Traktor and the same thing happened. Thankfully this occurred during setup so we the music didn’t stop during the gig.

Anyone else encounter this problem? I have the Guitar Center extended warranty, so worst possible outcome is that they pay for this.

Grounding issues?

never heard of that problem. can you duplicate it now?

I’ve never heard of it either.

this.

I just got an S2 and have noticed that if i unplug / plug my headphones in after traktor has started then it can cause it to lock up and stop meaning you have to restart traktor to get it working again. Not sure why tho!

if it keeps happening definitely tell NI. otherwise just use one of these…

Happen to me once to, what i did in the club, was connecting the S4 in one power source and the rest of my gear in another power socket. Did not happen after that. Think it is something to do with the ground, like someone other said to.

oh god. i had that problem with an AA VMS4 where it’d freeze up if a smoke machine was used or even in a club with a deep bass or whatever. hope i dont get the same issues with my S2 in a club!

Hey sorry for the lack of updates, I’ve been busy visiting colleges…
I can’t seem to recreate the problem so I’m assuming it was a grounding issue. I’ll try experimenting again this weekend with my S4. I did hear a little static when the audio cut as well.
