A tale of eBay woes....

A tale of eBay woes…

Damn.. Well the Zero 8 mixer i bought off ebay just came in yesterday and guess what, the touchscreen is broke!!! :disappointed:
Sent the guy a msg, no response, opened an ebay case, he instantly calls me. We proceed to talk on the phone and he tells me that it was working 100% fine when he sent it and that I must have done something too it. I laugh and tell him I plugged the whore in and thats what i got, now I’d like to discuss a refund.. He then tells me that it clearly states he has a no return policy in his ebay ad.. Either way after some hassel through ebay they are making him refund my money and paying for the return shipping to him..

So now im in the mixer market again.. Pref something with 4+ channels and Send/Return is a must!

Big 'ol pain in the ass i tell ya!

damn dude sorry to hear that, thank goodness for paypal.

Baseball bat and the guys home address? Thats how we resolve disputes in middle earth.

i like the sound of this “middle earth”…:+1:

Changed the title.

I know here in new zealand with our trademe site (similar to ebay) when you bid on an item and presumably win, the fair trading act does not apply and its a case of “buyer beware”, but if you use buy now options you are covered and protected by the law.

I guess that is the one good thing about using ebay/paypal and paying their fee’s is for situations like this..

good old “heavy dude with baseball bat” fee

Name and shame!!!

Kidding. Seriously though, put in your claim against him. My dad bought a video camera from Ebay “in perfect condition”. When he got it, it wouldn’t even turn on. So he tried to get ahold of the guy, no luck. So he put in a claim, and they couldn’t get ahold of the guy either, so he got his $$ back, and got to keep the camera. So he put it back up on ebay with a disclaimer saying that it doesn’t work, that its for parts, and some other guy ended up buying it for parts. My dad made $50 off of the whole deal.

^ thats a win in my book

First time I ever used eBay I was in my early teens and was trying to buy the latest and greatest minidisc player. The seller sent me an old model and left me negative feedback when I complained, leaving me with a -1 feedback rating. I was like 13 so I didn’t know how to do the whole claim thing, and ended up having to start afresh with a new account cos no one will sell to someone with that feedback.

Cleary zero 8s can’t be trusted.
But it’s simple really, get 2 zero 4s.
Problem solved.

Yup

Better one should avoid such sites I always doubt the quality of products being sold by such sites..
