Ableton PUSH 2 with Traktor

Hi Guys,

First time poster here so sorry if this is a question thats been asked before. I did a search and nothing showed up.

I have been using a PUSH 2 for a few months with Ableton and love it but i want to get some more use out of it. I have seen a few Midi Mappings for the original Push with Traktor but none for the PUSH 2. I’m happy to take the time to create my own but i have a few questions.

Is the only way to get it into user mode to open live first and then close it?

My traktor os not seeing the push as a midi controller and the ctrl light is not lighting up when i’m hitting things so i assume its not seeing the device at all.

Do i need some third party software to “unlock” the push 2?

You need to press the USER button on the top right of the controller and then assign that in Traktor, no need to open Live.

Thanks but the user button is not active until live is launched its just idle with the push logo on the screen until live is launched no buttons seem to function.

Odd that they changed that compared to v1. Either way, this should come in handy if you want to go down the rabbit hole.
