You say you have mapped the kontrol x1 as a basic mixer, so I assume you have added those functions mentioned yourself.
Either way, It’s not standard behaviour, so you can just remove them.
The easiest way: Add a new (fake) function, which you can delete easily (as it is automatically added as the last rule), press the learn button and press the button/knob which triggers your mentioned functions.
This way, Traktor will highlight all the functions that are triggered with that button/knob. From there it’s just looking for the function that corresponds to it and delete it and then delete the last added fake function.
This. That’s what I always do. make sure you delete any out signals on the same command, cos that’ll be the LED feedback for those commands if there is any.
on the contrary 'bro - TOO good. Need Golden’s Fine Motor Skills for your mapping. Gone to basics and having more fun than being in a whore-house on a discount night with free (non-American) beer. When I got some G’sFMS I will upgrade to the JNZ bizzzzzz
Digging the new pix.
I like your mapping, but having hell of a time trying to get it working. I’m pretty sure I’m importing it wrong, because I keep ending up with a ‘hybrid’ map between yours and the original KX1.
Have tried installing this a couple of times. If you could be so kind, could you let me know the steps to take to get it into Traktor Pro (latest version), and avoid the hybrid situation??
I’ve searched on the forum for threads on this but I’ve drawn a blank on the correct process. NI’s manual and forum too are not very helpful.
Simple stuff like, should the KX1 be connected first, then import the TSI, etc might be where I’m f…ing up here.
Thanks for your advice, however I tried that, and it didn’t work. I must have a corrupted version of Jesters mapping, because even after loading it as you suggested, the assignments for the functions in Jesters mapping seem conflicted. i.e. not doing what they should.
And that’s with no other KX1 mapping active or in the control manager. I have reduced everything to just the keyboard mapping and whatever TSI I import for the KX1. It doesn’t seem to be working for any other TSI’s either.
I’m not sure if when the KX1 is connected it overwrites whatever mapping is in the Control Manager…it seems to be doing this.
my sequence so far has involved installing the mapping both when the KX1 is connected and when it’s not, and then connecting it.
It’s got me stumped . and NI are less than explicit in the Traktor reference manual about whether the KX1 should be connected or not when a mapping is written into it.
There must be a way to get this working, I mean, Jester’s got it working…
@ drex what version of traktor are you running?
here is the latest version to reflect the 1.2.7 update. obviously you need to delete the stock mapping and import this one to avoid conflicts.
Great to get it from the man so to speak. I’ll download it and give it a crack and let you know how it goes. I’m running 1.2.7.
Do you have a JPG / PDF of what the assignments are? if you do I’d be grateful for that. I have an earlier one for your 1.02 map, but I’m not sure what’s changed from that version to this current version.
