Affordable Dj controller for traktor
What would be the best option for me if I’m looking for an affordable all-in-one dj controller. Something that has A+B decks but can switch with a button to control C+D. Something that has a 4ch soundcard for monitoring cueing. Decent jogwheels plus some controls of fx and hotcues.
I have 2 xone k2’s and a maschine mikro but I’d rather simplify my setup by trading that or selling for a simple controller like a vestax or something.
Any suggestions?

for my money it seems to have all the right features and its very intuitive. I’ve heard a few people talk trash about it saying that it isn’t that great quality. BUt its a fucking midi controller essentially. Its not like we’re talking about humbucker pickups or something.
500 is a little steep right now though. I was hoping to trade in a xone k2 and the mikro as I am strapped for funds right now
Man, I don’t know why people bash the quality. You can get a really heavy controller made of metal, that feels solid as hell, but it looks like shit 2 months later because it gets all banged up. I think it just gives you the feeling of “high quality”. Sure, the S4 is plastic, but it’s very portable, extremely light, and still looks great after months of use.
Standon DJC.4 It has more functionality than the S2, more buttons to map, controls 4 decks. Can’t go wrong with it…
Did I mention it’s about $150 cheaper than the S2?

On a side note.. I’ve been doing pretty well with my two xone k2’s and maschine mikro. Just learning my mappings. They have all the functionality of any mixer really minus the job wheels
