I have an LPD8, and can confirm, it’s a USB-A to USB-B mini.

Yep! That’s the one 
same one you use for Playstation 3 controllers. same cable you use for other electronics like cameras…
^ Not entirely true. Thanks to electronics getting smaller and smaller, Mini USB has been effectively replaced by (the inferior, yet smaller) Micro USB in most modern devices.
