All In One Controller for Ableton
I’m looking to buy an all in one controller that will mainly be used in Ableton. In addition to standard djing I would like to add some scratching to some tracks I produce and plan to do this using the Scratch Track 3.0 plugin so good jogwheels are essential. I was wondering which controller everyone would recommend. I was about to buy a Vestax VCI-400 which sounded perfect with its huge customisation options but the lack of support going forward has me spooked. I’m contemplating a secondhand DDJ-SX but it’ll be stretching the budget at around £500. Should I chance it with the Vestax? Or save a bit and go DDJ-SX? Or has anyone got any other suggestions?’
Update: I should probably add that I also have a Push Version 1 for triggering samples, finger drumming etc. I’m also now leaning towards saving up for a few months and purchasing a NS7 mkii, unless anyone thinks the Vestax is the way to go but I’m thinking that’s unlikely?
