I will find out in 2-3 weeks… ordered mine today =)
With that package i included Traktor Scratch Pro and 2 controll cd’s and 2 vinyl records.
wicked set up…let me know
whats it like then?
Can you use the audio interface thats built in and route the audio to each channel on the mixer so you can mix externally?
i want one…
Dunno yet, I placed the order on the 9:th and so far no Xone in sight… I guess (hope) its coming next week.
 Just recieved info… another 2 week for delivery at least. ![]()
I’m using this set up and having a great time ![]()
Worth the money? Im very tempted. Either that or an Xone 92 with 2x1Ds
every penny.
using that setup, routing through internal sounrcard to the 4 mixer channels. TCV, TCCD and midi conrol all on hand.
Great if using at home, though the 92 and 2 * 1d may be more flexible if you’re playing all sorts of places, you can just load 1 or 2 1d’s and plug into house mixer rather than carry your own mixer.
I’m still having a lot of trouble with it, often have to restart traktor 3-4 times before it recognises the xone, midi stops working mid set, though sound works fine, decks get stuck in relative mode, but work again in all modes when I restart. Cannot isolate issues to the xone or traktor though.
Make sure you get a serial number 900000+, they are supposed to have fixed some issues by then, though not all.
All that said, I love playing on it when it all works. To have all the flexibility of cd, vinyl, midi, effects, without having to go to a keyboard for any of it really lets you get creative.
Hey Tubby,
Does it support split headphone cueing like the Xone 62/92? I currently have a 62 and am thinking about getting a 4D.
Recieved mine yesterday and my serial was 090***, not 900***?
Installed Traktor and updated the 4D to the latest of everything late last night so today I will be trying to get the knobs & buttons to work as I want them to work.
it has cue/mix dial, cue multiple channels, you get master if no channels selected. so pretty similar to the 92 I think
getting the midmi map just right seems to be an on-going process, I’m always tweaking it, but that’s all part of the fun, thinking of new things to do with all the possibilities.
not sure what to do when they introduce the 4 fx banks, whether I want to dedicate another row of knobs to fx, or use modifiers to control fx 3 & 4.
4 fx banks? when is this supposed to happen?
they;ve annonced the 4 fx banks in the next release, 1.2, but as with any release they won’t confirm a date for it yet
this machine is the tits. satisfying to use, touch and look at
im getting a sore face from banging my head against the wall. they could at least give us a general idea. like, before christmas or somethin
I can understand them not committing to dates until they’ve got it through the testing regime, especially after the bug-fest that we’ve put up with so far.
ya fair enough. thats not gonna fix my face tho
Introducing FX banks is going backwards ! they should open more buttons up to just send midi and let the software handle these sorts of shift\toggle functions. This gives the artist a more or less empty canvas to paint midi mappings on as opposed to hardware dedicated functions that make you pull your hair out as a power user!
