Another Chicago based Question
Recently Ive been looking into the Chicago underground scene, trying to find out more about the political system of Chicago. Best example of this is what happened with the Mad Decent Block Party. The link is a short article about the event itself.
Is there anyone who can give me more information of what exactly happened or what usually happens in big events like this? If not from Chicago I would like to hear how politics play a factor in your state/country.
When Derrick Carter comes out and says “good riddance” to Diplo…I think that says alot…
Plus I have a good friend that is/was a mid level produce and has met and hung out with Diplo and says he is a dick…

Thats what I`m saying it wasn’t in Chicago because he couldn’t get it into Chicago. Do you know where it was originally supposed to be held?
From what I remember it was shut down due to safety issues.. Not 100% what those were but I know there were tons of people gate crashing and such.
It needed to be in a more confined space, and he decided to take it to a horse track in a shitty nearby town.
Chicago wanted kickbacks, Just like any other Mob/business. Diplo wouldn’t do it.
Chicago is all about who you know and/or who you can pay off.
