Another vid of David Guetta miming…

I know this was discuss in depth in this other thread here:

I just watched something else someone sent to me, nearing the end it shows him miming a mix and using a pre-recording cd in a cdj.

I know this is discussed to death and whatever, but still I guess it should be out and discussed either way. For number dj in the world I would hope he actually mixed.

Everyone be warned, my finger is poised over the Close Button on this thread.

Could this not have been added to the origional thread as you have stated, linked and clearly are aware of :stuck_out_tongue::wink:

yeah its a long thread though. I figure the new info part to the video we discussed before should be discuss. I just think its interesting to see this. Miming sets seems to be increasingly more in peoples eyes or maybe we are paying attention more.

“Mixing Table” lol. He’s “number 1” because of the popularity of his productions, not his mixing ability. I’d say a lot of sets for high profile events like those in the video are pre recorded. And at the end of the day if you’re going to see David Guetta you’re going to see him, not hear a good DJ set.

Very true. I would just hope he was even mixing, but alas. Might as well call him a giant iPod lol.

I think as hobbyists, professionals and enthusiasts of the craft then naturally we are paying a lot more attention than the mass of fans who simply wouldn’t know or care for anything other than the David Guetta bandwagon and persona.

Charlie Chaplin made a career out of miming. maybe Guetta has him listed as one of his influences.

My feelings are in my sig

don’t really care…i don’t buy or listen to his tunes…or that entire genre…

sooooo…

meh…

let them eat cake…

you’d think he’d just set cue points so he knows where to mix in the other track - not just completely fake it.
lame.
his music sucks anyways.

Is that cus your from ‘Bakersfield’

You know, Marie Antoinette didn’t actually say “Let them eat cake” at all.
Whilst on holiday a last week I read a history of the French Revolution.

Riveting eh.

i thought about it before i typed it actually…

to me it means “let them enjoy what they dont usually have…they wont have it again”

(i remember it from some crappy 80s commercial for some over sugarred product)

so where did “let them eat cake come from”?

Life as we know it will never be the same

Thats what I love about this forum, I learn something new everyday

me being curious had to google to find this answer out. for anyone interested [ame=“Let them eat cake - Wikipedia”]Let them eat cake - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

I find this below amusing from the link.

*In Chinese culture, there is (attributed to Emperor Hui of Jin by the book Zizhi Tongjian) a similar story that involves rice and meat, instead of bread and cake: “an ancient Chinese emperor who, being told that his subjects didn’t have enough rice to eat, replied, 'Why don’t they eat meat?”

The obsession with bread, grain and sugar during the French Revolution is something that amazes me. What better reason to have a revolution ?

Pretty much the basis of Western Democracy including that of the USofA was all because of a massive war about people hoarding sugar and grain.

Strange world we live. I wonder if David Guetta makes his own cakes or has them delivered and then tells his guests:
“My name is David Guetta, and I baked these cakes”
