Any Austin TX djs?
i’m looking for a club in austin that needs an indie dance/nu disco dj. any ideas?
not to discourage you, but i’ve heard Austin is a really tough market to break into music-wise, like in the same sentence as NY kind of tough. but hey if you can do that you can do anything, right?
you are absolutely right! there are tons of college kids here that are also DJs. i’ve done several house parties/frats/pool parties and i just wanted to go for something…bigger. how did you break into the music scene, if you dont mind me asking?
get out there. make everyone know you are (without being a pushy SOB 
), just get your face known. push your demo on everyone who is willing. skill helps too. but once again, perseverance, promotion, practice.
