Any interest in learning about multi-boot joy?

Any interest in learning about multi-boot joy?

I ordered a new laptop this morning which should be here in a few days. I am planning on wiping the factory loaded Win7 and creating a multi-boot machine. The first partition will be for day-to-day work, the second will be music/graphic production and the third will be for the S4. I will obviously focus on the S4 partition.

I wanted to check in and see if there is much interest in me documenting the process? I may write it up with screenshots, put a video together, or both. None of what I am doing is rocket science but there might be a few things people can learn.

I think that would be a great thing to have as a reference for others.

Yeh, good plan!

I think its a great idea and it would be a good resource to have on the forum.
Considering your previous write up on the S4 im sure you will do a good job.

Look forward to it.

and it made me wait 7 seconds as I’d just come straight from posting on another thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright. I will put something together. My video editing skills are non-existent so it won’t be a Hollywood production.

What..? No car chase…

no, but free pizza to the 100th viewer on youtube

I could do some video editing if you wanted. I’ve run out of school assignments to do at work.

Go film major! Yeah!

Video Editing

That might be a really good idea! I am going to steal the wife’s flipcam and see what I can come up with.

You will need to commit to adding some form of car chase involving vehicles of the moderators’ choice. It’s likely to be a Maurice Marina and a Talbot Horizon - solid vehicles.

The morris marina has to be crushed by a piano at the end of the chase. It’s the law.

Yes Jeremy. How lame am I for forgetting how to spell Morris correctly?

YES! A yank got the top gear reference!!!

Would be nice to have as an reference, like inform people that you cant go over 4 partitions (one hd) and then install two win 7, so i had to delete my dell system restore partition, dont need it anyways:slight_smile:

Nope. From the Isle of Wight originally. Went to Uni at Hatfield as it goes and used to live on the Ridgeway in Marshalswick

I just live on this side of the pond (and very nice it is too).

I plan on wiping the system before I do anything. I can’t abide the crap they load on.

Completely possible.

HO—LY----FUCK.

What a small world it is. I know a purveyor of AHEM… special tobacco who lives on the ridgeway.

sounds like a good idea, just curious what OS do you plan on using for the S4 only partition?
