any RC car enthusiasts?

any RC car enthusiasts?

i was hoping for some advice on a good RC car kit. back in the day i used to build RC cars and had fun with them, now i have kids and wanted to share the fun with them…back then the kinda go to car was the associated electrics RC10. i was wondering if this is still a good kit, or if some other car has come along to replace it as the top dog. i also used to build some tamaya kits like the grasshopper..but i remember the AE cars being of better build…

anyway, any pointers?

Go with HPI they have 1-1/0, 1/8 and 1-/16 scale models. Wow the RC10 was an oldie but a goodie but technology has moved on.

Traxxis rtr kits and brushless upgrade

im liking the traxxas kits…the resemble the old rc10s to some degree, and I seem to remember the name from a while back too.

im thinking of something like Amazon.com

any thoughts on this kit?

what kind of radio gear would you go with?

and why not this?
http://www.amazon.com/Team-Associated-9042-RC10B4-2-Colors/dp/B00DOSQ34W/ref=pd_sim_sbs_21_20?ie=UTF8&refRID=04V48295FV9N31RQ06NR

comes with brushless motor and radio gear… cheap

That traxxis one is nice the thing I like about them is repair peices are cheap… Well I’d get a rtr kit as its everything and since almost all are brushless ready with the esv? I’d go that route. Definetly will need a. Wheelie bar even without brushless upgrade… I work for a john Deere dealership and a few years ago they had a big 1/10 scale 4wd remote control tractor and I procrastinated until they weren’t available anymore but my intentions were to strip it and make a 4wd brushless crawler out. It…

Another thing lipo batteries seriously things are awesome but never charge in attended… They maybe better now but even 4 years ago they were sketchy and not uncommon for them to ignite while charging

Also a very inportant thing is if your going to be driving on mostly grass get the proper gear or else you’ll start burning up motors

Great advice thanks!
