Any recommended Manhattan Record Stores?

So me and the girlfriend are heading over to New York for 3 nights for a break away. We will be checking out the usual places but she wants to check out some beauty places and I want to check out some places that sell vinyl.

I have had a look and noticed that there are a load of record stores but from past experiences it doesn’t mean they are good!

I know there are quite a few of you guys close to Manhattan so have you got any recommendations for places to check out? I mostly spin tech-house, house, techno but really looking for some good old disco classics, maybe some hip-hop (Run DMC - Kings of Rock etc style stuff).. And also New Romantic (80’s New Wave) stuff.

Definitely hit Bleecker Street Records. And Turntable Lab.

Love Turntable Lab and Bleecker Street Records. You might consider stopping by The Blind Barber while you’re in East Village.

For disco/soul/funk/hip hop I would recommend A-1 Records, also in the East Village. They have lots of 12" singles, which I like. There are a few record shops pretty close to each other in that area.

Thanks for that link mate! I’v just checked that link out! I would rep you if i could on this site mate! :slight_smile: I got told about Rock & Soul but the name doesn’t sound like what i’m after but it’s less than 5 minutes from my hotel so i’ll check it out :slight_smile:
