Any solutions for fitting big controllers in DJ booths?
So I just received my DJTT VCI-400 in the mail and am learning my way around it. The first thing I realized though was that this thing is not going to fit in the booth of any club that I work in. I’m spinning 7 nights/wk in Manhattan in large clubs and every single one of them is geared for Serato use where all space is used by the turntables & mixer. I can usually manage to fit the VCI-100 on top of the turntables with covers on them (this is even tricky because turntable covers have a bubble for the arm), or I can fit it on the CDJ stands but that’s not going to cut it for the huge VCI-400. I was wondering if anyone had come up with ideas or solutions for fitting larger controllers in booths without any table space.
that’s a cool stand although with the laptop attached it is a huge shield between the dj and the audiance, but when someone makes an easily portable fold up one they will make a mint.
Cool case but theres very few clubs I’ve worked in that have table space for a big box like that as the whole booth is Tables/CDJs/Mixer. Might check out the magma stand for putting it over that stuff though. Only problem then is the changeovers to the next DJ when all my gear is covering the mixer
I too wondered of this I think I might make one for my ns6. I have a large old desk but I’m taller so need it raised about a foot but don’t want to deal with creating a new top for the desk. Although easier I think would be cooler to make a stand that would just raise it up and have room for an x1 and f1 on each side for when using traktor and have the Stand wider then the ns6 for stabiltity. Angles laptop holder off to the side of it.
Just have to talk to my welder friends and have one make it.
Think this would solve your problem as because it’s wider it should be able to go right over top of house mixer and tables without any issues and high enough at 12inches to clear it . Will start a thread when get the frame built but it’s an idea I’ve been working out
