Anyone notice some effects sound different in T2?
I use the Filter 92 effect a lot and can say with complete confidence that it sounds different than Filter 92 in TSP.
I tested it out on numerous tracks and Filter 92 in T2 sounds much less “wild” than the one in TSP and that’s with resonance completely up in both softwares.
I also noticed that Delay & Delay T3 both sound different in T2 than in TSP.
I’m using Traktor 2.0.3 & Traktor 1.2.7.
Am I alone on this?

Sounds like they lowered the resonance a bit
and also lowers the sound too early.

Now I hear what you mean! I think the filter in T1 sounds far better, alot smoother aswell. Love to hear that NI say about it!

filter settings in both versions and then compared them by listening and visually
and also by phase cancellation tests.
Can you do a simmilar recording showing the drastic differences you describe and

yes please let us know because your song sample seems like the exact thing i’m going through, thus making the filter 92 effect totally useless for me.
reverting back to TSP in the meantime.

I’m almost certain the resonance in lower. I actually like the newer one, the old one was a bit harsh when sweeping through the higher frequencies
yeah but you should be able to adjust the resonance so you can have it harsh…if its what ur after…it was perfect in TSP1.2.7

I crank up the mids when using the new filter, sounds a bit better but not like it used to.
update: i received a response from NI. it only took about 3 weeks to respond but guess what? they actually said that it’s a bug and that developers are looking to fix it for the next version.
looks like i’m not crazy after all.
