anyone that uses google sketchup for drawing??
I have a question, I use google sketchup to do mock ups for my carpentry business and its a very good program for grahpical drawing.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can map a midi controller (mine being a korg nano kontrol 2)
to use for functions like zoom, orbit, pan, differnt scenes, tool select etc…
everytime I search for it, it just comes up with sketchup models of midi controllers, not actual info on plugins to allow this.
sketchup is so annoying to use i rage quit within minutes.
that being said, me and my friend were bored in graphic arts so we opened it up, made a building, put a gundam shooting a sniper rifle on top aimed at another gundam in the air, with megatron (the OG cartoon version) behind the dude on the building
we were laughing our asses off the whole time, walked out, saw a teacher we knew and said (while still walking past) ‘we made a robot war in graphic arts’
without missing a beat she said ‘sketchup?’
i have no idea how she knew that but it was the best 40 minutes of the week.
If you get Automap Pro and Automap for iPod/iPad, you can map buttons to keyboard shortcuts.
there are some programs which put midi messages into key strokes.. just use google..
