Anyone used a Nox 606? viable short term DJM900 replacement?

Before anyone laughs…i’m selling my DJM900Nexus as I’m getting married later this year and the funds are needed to help out…

I have a DDJ-SX2 and an Audio 8 DJ, so I won’t be leaving myself completely unable to gig/mix etc…

Im looking for a reasonable replacement for the 900 in my home studio setup, and I’ve been looking at a few cheap battle style mixers, i.e. DJM250 and the Nox 404…this then got the Nox 606 to my attention. I like the idea of the two filters, like the zone 92 and the infinium xfader

I know that the build quality will be crappy compared the the 900 but its only going to be a stop gap until i either buy another 900 or maybe an 850 at the end of the year.

other recommendations welcome too…only requisites are:

2-4 channels
good xfader
filters preferable but not essential

budget is low so will be looking second hand

If I was in your situation the NOX 606 or the DDM4K is what I’d be looking at.

But, I wouldn’t go used. I’ve found that as long as you look after Behringer gear, it will look after you. That’s a problem if you buy used…

Can’t comment on the 606, but the xfader on the DDM4K is pretty damn good. The cut is not great - but the old credit card mod is an easy fix for that (I did it, and got a nice tight cut-in).

Thanks for the advice patch, the DDM doesn’t really appeal to me, never warmed to it when it was released and I’m not adverse to buying second hand and replacing parts if needed.

I haven’t really kept an eye on the lower end gear since i got the 900 when it came out. The only thing that worries me about the 606 is how close the xfader is to the channel faders…might make crabbing difficult…but who knows

That’s one of teh issues actually withthe DDM4K - there arekill buttons on each side of the crossfader. Easily knocked when cutting…

I really like the look of the Nox 606. Do report back if you get one.
