Are you going to break your HD25's or TMA's?

Are you going to break your HD25’s or TMA’s?

Probably not.

Photojojo’s HD25’s

Basline Brine’s TMA 1’s

lol yeah me too

Shit just realised that’s your set up!!! Which means they are your HD25’s!!!

I’ve just sent my hdj500’s back cos they broke under 1000th the amount of stress you are putting on them. May be time for an upgrade.

Yep they’re mine. There was a thread where someone said something about how the HD25’s looked like they could break but I couldn’t find it.

Wow! Gotta look into those.

Hows the DN-X1600 going then?

LOVE IT!!!

Got everything sorted channel wise, have all my sample decks playing through C and preview playing through D. Also got internal Traktor recording set up and can post my mixes without all of my twangy mumbling going on.

mine have been through the cargo hold of a plane in the front pocket of my record bag and were perfectly fine! had them for 6 years now and only replaced the earpads 2 months ago

I suspect the L/R connectors might give up with a few drops too many. After two years I have to tweak the R side a lil’ bit to get a full contact, seems like a relatively common issue.

Same here

same here, 4 years old hd25, every once in awhile it needs a little wiggle on the sides to get the sound back full on, otherwise the sound only on one side

nothing major but yeah quite a common problem with aging hd25’s

just replaced the pads with velour ones and i wish i had gotten the leather ones instead, velour → more long lasting but not as comfy as leather

the only headphones i’ve seen able to handle that stress is the hd25s and hdj2000s

sh*t! that’s scary.

I know what my next pair is going to be.

How are they for general listening?

Also had the same problem. Got DV247 to send out a new cable. Problem happened again not long after.

Cable quality really is pretty naff. Wouldn’t mind terminating my own.

So even Spongebob could wear them?

I really think the TMA’s would do the same since they look to be made of a similar material. Plus they’re advertised as flexible. Anybody have a set?

I don’t think you can do that with the TMA’s. Even if the TMA’s didn’t snap I suspect that the headband would split as it is two pieces glued together.

For me the TMA’s would be better at being dropped.

This is my experience with the TMA’s.

The TMA’s can bend like that, I just tried it. I have a pair that were chewed on by my dog, so I was/am not afraid of fucking with them (the wires got chewed as well >.<), but they still bend back.

They are definitely headphones I’d buy again. Don’t have the funds for it at the moment however, so thinking about trying to do a telephone monitor mod with what I have left over from the TMA’s.

But yeah. Visual representation. I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of it and figured this was the easiest way. Enjoy my mugshots :stuck_out_tongue:

The mugshot is fine

that shirt however …

Lol@Sherlock!!

I was pretty sure they would, thanks for posting. Anybody else care to test their headphones?
