Audio 8 DJ HELP!!!

Ive just tryed connecting my audio 8 dj to my laptop for the last hour and for some reason it just doesnt seem to be connecting to my computer. Ive had this way over a year now and have never encountered this problem before. The only lights that are lighting up in it is the Line on Channel C and the In 5/6 light and there is no light appearing anywere else even in the input mode.

I was playing a party on saturday night passed and havent used it since but all was working perfect until the very end and i was sober so i know nothing happened to it becuase i was with it the whole time.

any body any suggestiions on this. im meant to be playing tomoro and satruday and this is seriuosly is freaking me out!

Try a restart. It happened to me once. worked after a restart.

yep that’s usually what fixes it for me.

Yeah if i ever have an issue with the audio 8 i just restart the comp and it works like new again.

unfortunatly it’s not even working once i restart it. i have left it a day now without touching it to see if it was just a one off but it still isnt working. there is not lights appering in the Input mode for me to switch but i can onli swithc between in 5/6 and out 7/8 :disappointed: this is really annoying the hell out of me because im going to have to use cds for my gig 2moro and had to pull out of 2nites gig!! plus i have gigs next week!!

any help is really appreciated guys and thanks for your efforts so far

The idiot answers I can give are to update the drivers and change out the USB cable. Something could have happened in transit to the cable.

yea man ive tried changing the cables and updating drivers but to no avail. thanks again

Try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling?

Try unplugging everything from your USB ports and try plugging the Audio8 on each USB port. Maybe it’s one of those kinds of issues?

i have tryed the different ports etc and nothing like that seems to be helping either :disappointed:

i dont know how to uninstall it on a mac. ive read the manuals and everything it says to delete. It tells you what to search and delete it but everything the tell u to search and delete But the manuals keep coming up and that is it nothing else and i need the manuals :disappointed:

any ideas or am i just being stupid when its coming to deleting these?

whenever i get troubles that bad… i just reformat… hopefully.. all your important stuff is on a seperate partition or hdd

You dont need to uninstall Mac drivers the Audio 8 will always see the latest drivers which are always the right ones.

Did you check the Audio 8 Settings Tool to see if you have USB Streaming Errors (shouldnt really matter).

Is the Audio 8 assigned in Mac/Sound Preferences and working at all?

Have you install any other 3rd party audio drivers that may be conflicting.

Can you try the Audio 8 and the drivers on another machine to see if it works on there. If it does then you have sofware issues on your Mac . If it doesnt your Audio 8 is buggered and you should have it replaced by NI.
