Audio cable adaptors? Do I need them ??

Hi,

I DJ at clubs/bars and always plug in my RCA cables from my audio 8 for sound.

However I am starting soon to do private partys. I have an 18th in a week to DJ. I am just wondering wether I need any other type of audio cables or adaptors?

Are the RCA cables always standard even if I am plugging directly into the venues speakers.

Always carry extra wiring with different connectors (1/4, XLR, etc) or adaptors. You never know when you will need them till you do. Normally PA’s have mono 1/4 inputs

thank you! just ordered some 1/4 adaptors.

for the XLRs I am guessing I need the 3 prong ones. Is the side with the prongs a male or a female what I need.

Is it easier just to ring the venue?

normally female, but check with the venue.

It’s highly probable they have a mixer (even if it’s not on the booth) between you and the sound system, if that is the case 1/4 will be enough.
