What computer and operating system are you using?
Have you turned off wifi, bluetooth, etc?
If using a pc have you gone through the steps to tweak it for using it with traktor?
You shouldn’t need another sound card, and without knowing what you will be using another midi controller for how can anyone give advice??
You really need to give more info if you want some help.
Ok thanks
My PC: Intel Core Duo 2 CU T8100
2 Ghz 2.10
Ram 3.00GB
Windows 7 Home Premmium 32 bits
The other MIDI controllorer is for production
I need to buy a MIDI controller to use with ableton anyway so a MIDI controller with an audio interface its what i need like an M-audio Ozone 25 or so right?
By tweks on windows for traktor you mean the DJTT Guide for optimize windows?
+1 for the info Kooper gave. There is also a thread on it at the Native Instrument forums. You may also want to consider making your computer a dual boot system, and smiTTTen has also written 2 blog articles at DJTT on how to do it.
You could use your S4 sound card in production for listening, not sure if the mic input would still work though. I haven’t looked up specs on the M-Audio, but it really depends on your needs. If you need a mic for vocals, instrument input for guitars, etc. then you need a sound card to handle those things. If all you need is to hear it then the S4 card will work by having the s4 on, not traktor, and selecting it as the audio in Ableton. Then you can look at all the midi keyboards and see which one suites your needs.
Thanks you both so much last night I do the native instrument tweks and i think the dropouts are gone but im going to make the other tweks anyway thanks to kooper
And for you Bangogo your last question answer another big question i have
About the m audio MIDI chek it out
I can use that like an interface and record voices instruments etc
or its better to buy a interface appart?
Thanks kooper i love your attitude
Just another question about the same things maybe you can answer me
An M-Audio Ozone 25 will do the job of an audio interface and a MIDI Keyboard
like:
I can use that like an interface and record voices instruments etc
Its a good choice? or i buy the MIDI keyboard and an Audio interface?
To use with ableton and in some sets with the s4.
That interface will work for mic and instrument inputs. As far as the difference between it and separate interfaces you’ll just have to compare specs. It would also depend on your budget, future plans for producing, etc. if you are just starting out, I would keep the costs low till you figure out how much you will actually use it.
