audio quality

ok, so if i have a 128 kbs song, and i use a file converter to ramp it up to 320

will it sound like 320?
i have some old tracks i want to do this to

no

yeah dude do it

i mean, wouldnt that be like streatching a 100x100 resolution pic to 1000x1000 to make it fit nice ly as like a desktop backround?

if thats the case itll def loose quality

Precisely

And to extrapolate, when you compress an audio file to 128kbp/s it cuts out a bunch of data, and it’s deleted forever. When you then re-encode the file as a 320kbp/s file, it doesn’t fill in those gaps, it just makes them wider.

exactly!

When you convert to mp3…it removes part of the sound spectrum…it cuts frequencies…to make it smaller.

Once those parts have been removed…it is not possible to put them back.

That’s why you should either get the CD…and convert to 320MP3…or buy the 320MP3 online.

There is no way of guaranteeing that what you get off the net is actually a 320MP3.

Someone could have done what you described above and posted it as a 320MP3.

How would you know it ain’t a real 320??

ok thanks for the answers guys
