Thought I would share this with all of you. We want older players, young upstarts, vinyl djs, cd djs, controllerists, boys, girls, ALL OF YOU.

In the spirit of keeping things interesting around here we have decided to kick off a little challenge for those that are interested.

The Prize:

• Guaranteed slot on one of the August trains.
• Your choice of slot
• Member Rank upgrade (Student to Peer or Peer to Master depending on where you are today)
• Increased exposure of your mix on IMTC related sites and other channels (TBD)
• Your mix played and promoted on Vectis Radio.
• Whatever other goodies we get our hands on between now and then!
• Bragging rights for life.

The Challenge:
• Create a 15 minute battle mix that showcases your skills and reflects your own taste in music.

The Rules

• You must video your set (you can video your mixer/controller or take a direct screen capture of the software you are using). CD/Vinyl DJs should video the decks/mixer setup
• SNAP, QUANT & SYNC cannot be used at any point in the mix
• Controller users must show SNAP, QUANT & SYNC buttons OFF
• Video must be clear and audio of high quality (audio is the priority) – Poor quality videos or those that do not show the required information will be excluded.
• File size cannot exceed 450MB and must be in a Youtube acceptable format
• Track list must be included
• Submission deadline is August 1st, 12am EST (GMT -5)

Eligibility:

• The challenge is open to All IMTC-HUB Members excluding Admins and Masters. Non IMTC people are welcome to enter but they will need to join first

Judging:

• Judging will be carried out by Masters and Admins
• In the event of a tie, the video with the most likes on the IMTC Fan page will be declared the winner.
• Unfortunately, you will not be penalized for playing dubstep

There are no music restrictions - you can play what you want using whatever you like. The no SNAP, QUANT, SYNC is something have decided to as an experiment. The other standards are just there to ensure we can get quality results.

Totally understand if you don’t want to get involved but it would be cool to have you involved!

@digitalDevil: We will likely do a similar challenge in the Fall that will run a totally different angle - you guys will be all over it, promise :smiley:

Is it ok to use Traktor /cuz i dont have controller/ ?? And if its ok tell me which program to use to capture the mixing process. I don’t have f***book so how can i register :smiley:
