Hello the community !!! :slight_smile:

Here’s my different DJ gear since 2005…

I started djing since 1996, when i bought my first Technics Mk2 and a BST Turntables… I always listen to Disco Funk and soul songs… but when i discovered techno , i bought an other MK2 and my first bad mixer Gemini PS 626… But this was a good school how to learn your records and mixing by the way too.

Now Disco Soul and Funky are in my mind for forever and i love mixing them… I also spin Deep House Tracks and recently Nu Disco…

How was this rotary mixer?

You have excellent taste, congratulations! I’ve got some questions:

Is the vertical separator on top of the expedit form glass? I’m talking about the thing decorated by three records and their sleeves.

Also, what’s with the external VUs? How much did they cost? Are they still made? I see many people have them, but mostly in rack - mounted setups.

Lastly, don’t the leds on top of the surface bother you, because they light straight into your eyes?

@boarderbas I’ve got one Xone V6!!! it’s already expensive for an used one !!! The reason why i took it out, that’s i’m changing home, and i must redefine a new home made DJ Booth !!!

This mixer is the DJR 400 unit by the french builder E&S !! And it was a very good mixer , sound quality easy to plug, very light !!

The separator on the top expedit, is a glass !! I’ve cut it to customize the expedit with aluminium bar !!

For leds , the light doesn’t disturb my eyes, in dark environnement it’s just fine !! :thumbsup:

Don’t hurt your back. The thing weighs a ton. I’m coincidentally in France at any time you like to take that weight off of you. I’ll help you get rid of it for free! (and as a bonus take my car for a ride to where it was born 24 years ago :wink:

I thought my booth was pretty decent, but now the misses is insisting I make one like yours…

We used to use one of those rotary Empaths as our standard mixer back when I used to do club promotion. All the DJs we brought in, including some big names, raved about it.

I rocked a Rane Rotary Empath, then sold it for a Xone 92 Rotary!
