Basic Setup

hello, i just started working with tractor 3 for a few months.
I like the way mixing with traktor, so i spend much time to improve my skill.
Now the digital mixing got my attention and i want to act more professionally.
So i need to buy new hardware, to stop that klicking with the mouse :wink:
I do need some informations, if my setup i created is good or not. If something is missing, please tell me :wink:
the problem is i do not have that much money yet, so i will buy the hardware step by step every month :wink:

mixing software: Traktor 3 (yet) Traktor pro (want to buy)
Midi Controler: Reloop Digital Jokey (want to buy)
PC: dual core 3GH 3GB RAM 350 gb decksize (yet) soon laptop
extern second audiocard: problem, got o idea what is good or not, please help :slight_smile:

Depending on how much you want to spend, there are already several threads in this forum about possible soundcards:

  • Contenders be:
  • Maya44 USB
  • Presonus Firebox
  • Audio 4 DJ
  • Audio 8 DJ
  • …

For controllers- you can run wild in selecting your cup of tea; I think I saw several people using the Reloop here, maybe they can give you a few insights what to expect and/or alternatives.
From what I read your config looks fine, besides the portability-issue, but that’ll change with the laptop.
