bcr 2000 & laptop stand

question.. can I put a bcr on a laptopstand? I’m making an IKEA dj table and there’s no place for my laptop and bcr so I’m planning to buy 2 laptopstands and place it like that..

The booth will look like this..

imagine 2 sl1200’s and a 19" mixer from rodec on it and I’ll only have about 10 cm (4 or 5 inch) left on the table.. Do you guys think 2 laptopstands will be the right choice for this? And can a laptopstand carry a bcr 2000?

I built UP on my table instead, but I built everything by hand, so I do not know if you want to do that with this one. HOWEVER, Please let me know which IKEA table that is, cause I was looking for a replacement (and since my mom works for IKEA, I get a good discount) :smiley:

A BCR is not that heavy, in any case it is lighter than a laptop, so why not go for it?

It’s the expedit bookshelf from ikea with a vika amon table top mounted on it.. there’s an instruction here: Ikea DJ Console : 7 Steps (with Pictures) - Instructables for another Idea with Ikea :slight_smile:

Shit, I actually looked at that bookshelf and thought that it would make a suberb table if you put a Table on top! Great stuff, thank you very much for the link, Now I can stash my vinyls underneath as well!!! :smiley:

A recommendation from me to you would to take to mount your monitors on the wall. I did not have any mounting posibillities when I first set everything up, so I used L shaped “winkels” that I also bought at IKEA and then drilled a piece of wood on top. You get what I mean? Since then I have changed my studio and have deleted old pics, but they are still mounted underneath the top table, so ill take some pictures of what I mean, later on :slight_smile:

Here it is, looks shitty, cause I had to use a flash, and you see that the paintjob is not finished underneath, but who looks UNDER a table anyways?!

Yeah, that was what I had in mind when I did the original one. Now it looks different though, and the monitors stand on a second table on top of the original table (Due to Laptop and so on hand to fit somewhere.

Now those monitor wall thingies serve as LAMP holders, that hence thats why I do not remove them lolz

I’m gonna mount some ‘foots’ on it

but I rather wanna put them between the bookshelf & the tabletop.. still gotta see if this is possible…

I’m going IKEA shopping tommorrow.. I’ll let you guys know what I’ll do with it

Than I would opt for montaging them under the Expedit and not the tabletop. :wink:

i thought expedit wasnt deep enough for a 1210?

Well, I don’t think a 1210 is deeper than a Technics SL33DD.

The SL33DD fits perfect.

Well, I’ve made my piece of furniture.. allready got some scratches on it from my laptopstand lol… I’ll put some pics online when I’m done organising my records :slight_smile: Lot o’ fuckin’ work :d Still have to find something for those damn cables though..
