BCT15’s setup

Hey guys,

I’m new to thus forum but not new to djing and producing. I have been doing it for about 14 years. I started off in a brake dance crew and got more into the music. I do a lot of scratching and beat juggling, and mix breaks, house, hiphop and have started mixing videos. My setup list is below (main things I use)

Rand ttm 57sl

Dicers

Production
Roland MV 8800
Yamaha motif xs6
Fl studio
Ableton
Serato

I use other stuff but that us what comes to mind, below is a couple iPhone pics.

How do you like the Motif?

BCT15’s setup

The motif is very nice man, sounds are great, sequencer is awesome, recording is a breeze, not very heavy but feels solid, and the features and modibility of the sounds really make your imagination the limit to what you can do with it. I usually sample it (generally hook or certain part I play from a song) into the MV and chop up my played samples, then usually couple the chopped samples in with my serato set for mashup style mixing.

How are you using it exactly?

BCT15’s setup

I use my turntable setup often by laying down some scratches, juggles, or any other turntable style effect into my tracks that the other production equipment can’t replicate. I’m a turntablist first, a producer second.. I also consider my MV more as a part of my DJ setup than my production setup. Some remixes I do primarily on the MV and my turntables using serato.
