been working on these beats in maschine could do with some hints and tips on using fx
So some beats i’ve been trying to produce for a few months, just can’t pin one down and work on it. I need some tips i think… or just a massive kick up the arse! help please! 
dude i love it! its kind of in line with what i am asking in general discussion - perhaps you can help me out with some resources and insight into how to make beats like that??
I get ya depends what your using daw wise really but in maschine. i just hammer out a half beat hip hop style kick drum and snare loop then layer in a couple different snares maybe some hi hats till you have something I like and duplicate the pattern a few times and take some of the hits out to make a build, all i can say really is find samples, noises, anything and slice em up till their mush, and play around that.
the “when shes gone” track in that set. if you listen to the beginning all the main part is just that sample sliced to hell and hammered out on the pads
