Beginner Producer seeking advice

Hello everyone,

I am an aspiring music producer and I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what to call this part of the song (and the effect), so I can find tutorials on how to create this in my own songs. I am currently using FL Studio as my DAW.

I think it is called a breakdown and if so I would like to know the name of the effect Hardwell is using.

I think its just a delay effect

What I’ve heard, that’s called a sub FX or sub-bas downlifter. I think Hardwell took it from the vengeance packs (http://refx.com/products/vengeance/samples/) . It’s kinda easy to do one: sinewave > relative long release/sustain > cut everything over 150-200hz > maybe some reverb to spice it up. Maybe put a kick on it to give it some more impact (cut everything below 100hz on this kick).

Exactly as he put it! Depending on which Vengeance pack you find, there should be a "break “impact” or “sub” folder in the pack :slight_smile:
