Best Blank CD's?

Best Blank CD’s?

Hi Guys,

If i am not spinning vinyl, i use a usb stick on my CDJ’s, but not everybody has the same setup as me, and so I want to start putting my tracks on CDs.

There are so many out there, and after doing a few google searches, i am a bit confused.

Is there any particular brand that is better than any other?

What do you guys use and recommend?

I am sure this has been asked on here before, and i have done a few searches with the search tool, but I have not yet found anything directly relating to my questions :rage:

so yeah, please advise.

Thanks.

Just go to the store and buy some Memorex or Maxxell or whatever they’ll be fine

I was thinking of eBay actually, as i will want a couple of spindles.

So no real difference between them all then? None to avoid in particular? I was looking at a brand called Verbatim.

Thanks for the info.

I heard of those. I can’t really see how there would be much of a difference between them

Yeah, that was my thoughts too. I just didn’t want to end up with some dodgy discs that skip or don’t work properly etc.

I’ll get the verbatim’s

Thanks.

Matt

Any “name brand” media, from a “media” or “computer” company, will be fine. I have used Memorex, Maxell, TDK, HP, Sony, Verbatim, Imation, Philips and more.

I would avoid “store brand” or “generic” media from any source.

I use verbatim all the time. Honestly cannot fault em..

Thanks for the reply.

go to the local store… go to the discount section… pick up a spindle of 50 for 2 bucks… bring a friend, have him/her pick up a spindle  you now have 2 spindles

repeat as desired. lol i used to do that all the time

Same here, they seem pretty durable and have been abused a fair bit.

Yeah, I got the verbatim discs in the end, they seem pretty good so far.

Thanks guys

The best quality discs are made in Japan by Taiyo Yuden.

THIS

and it takes some research as they OEM for different name brand manufactures (but not all CDs from a manufacture will be TY)

Yeah, I did read that in one of my previous Google searches. A bit too pricey though I think.

Best Blank CD’s

TuyoYuden (IMO) are probably the best CD-R’s out there which you won’t find in any store. They are now owned by JVC. You can find them on amazon or anywhere online.
