“Best” mapping for the Traktor S4?
Hey guys, I wan’t a mapping that’s good for especially house/electro house. I tried the Ean golden one, but I didn’t find it to satisfy me. I’m new to the S4, and don’t know everything about it, but is it so that mappings in general are “unstable”, so that if you don’t really know what you’re doing, you should stick to the standard S4 settings?

Do you mean for effects? Otherwise if it’s just straight mixing the default s4 mapping works out of the box so there is nothing better!!

Definitely default mapping for me too.
I have only used the default mapping, it works fine for everything I want to do.
So I would have to say +1 for default mapping as well.
Okey, but there is one thing I wonder about the default mapping. Is it possible to make the sample buttons into cue bottons? I saw that in Ean Goldens mapping they were cue bottons, but is there a way to change that so I keep the rest as default?
in the set up menu under the s4 options you have the option to choose 5-8 as hotcues or samples..
Iam using the Default mapping… but another one in Midi mode (shift + browse) for FX Combos and other stuff…
