best oil to use for 1200s…
i need to use some oil to lube the motor shaft in my 1200s…
i was going to PM xonetacular but i thought this is information that all owners could use…

Thanks! I have never oiled my spindles since I purchased 14 yrs ago. Maybe it’s time to do so.
Same boat, mines are around 10 years now and i have never touched them. Im an engineer, and it still never crossed my mind

now…when they talk about cleaning/flushing the old oil out…is the best way to do that is to run the new oil into it until it runs clean?..i have yet to take out the motor and look at it…
Going to give this a bash this weekend. I have just got some bearing oil from a local shop as the SFW 010 Spindle Oil that technics tell you to use is non existent now as far as i can tell from looking!
