Big Ups and Shout Out to Controlled Demolition and Derders!

Guys,

Just wanted to take the time out to big you guys up and thank you again.

I played out this weekend to 2000 ppl using my APC40 and APC20.
Its not officially the APC80 yet as I only got the APC20 on Friday.
But I used it like it was the 80.

I have been using a modified version of Derder’s APC40 Traktor mapping and was able to load it up for the APC20 too…easy dead easy.

Everything worked PERFECTLY!

I was able to rock out like a mutha fucka!

Pics and video’s coming up during this week!

Thanks guys…I would not have done it without you!

@Cntld,

I will be doing the FB share etc that you mentioned.

Fucking madness!

ANNNND here are the pics!
As mentioned, the APC80 is not done yet. It was the 2 loose pieces, but I used it as though it was! Will upload the pics of the mod when its done!

congrats! looks packed, glad you had fun

it’s unbelievable how many views the delamar video has gotten in such a short amount of time… I wish I had the chance to edit it myself though. don’t get me wrong, the guys at delamar really did an excellent job - but there’s a couple of really corny shots in there that should have been left out…

anyway, feel free to share it! backlinks to my website or facebook page are always appreciated

thanks!

let’s face it, it’s a simple but epic mod that looks like it was desinged that way. If I ever decide buy an APC again I’m building one .

Thats it! simple…but so so so effective!

@CTRLD…yeah dude…i know what you mean.

I kinda got busted on FB…for checking out that girls goods…and someone took a pic!

Had to answer for it at home last night…once my GF had logged on.

WOOOT!

Finished putting my APC80 together last night. Attaching the support plate this evening!

It was painless…

So awesome!

Took some headscratching to figure out how I wanted my decks laid out.
But was able to pull it off…mapping sorted!

Uploading my video from the gig last weekend…and will also post the pics of the APC80.

Finally got it uploaded!

Apologies for the slightly distorted sound…but you gotta understand. Its a TurboSound rig and my camera is a little MiniDVD Cam.
The footage was taken by a german DJ, who had never used a videocam before. :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously, you can hear a woman coaching him at one point. HEHEHEHE

Sorry Sgary…He did a good job under the circumstances.

Looks amazing mate, might look into the Apc setup myself once i’m familiar with Ableton.

And, does anybody think the guy in the white shirt leaning on the barrier from 1:41 may have taken something…?
He looks fucking bolloxed lol.

Ahh…yeah…MUNTED!

Was not the only one! HAHAHAHA

This is using Traktor Scratch Pro however…not Ableton!

Just using 4 decks…and like having ALL my functions available to me without having to use a SHIFT button or changing modes. No soft-take over either!

Awesomeness, and Ray deserves all cred’ he gets!

Indeed!

Still need to highlight him once more on my blog!

Just out of a matter of interest what way do you have it mapped in Traktor just interesting to see how you put all those faders, buttons, endless encoders, ect to use??

Must be a pain in the ass to carry around safely:O

Nah, I have a case and it was a big festival…so its not like I carry it to clubs weekly etc.

I have it mapped to Traktor, as this is what I use to DJ. For the last 3 years now…about.

All the buttons and knobs are mapped. All my cue points…play\stop…Tempo Bend…FX bank on or off…insta loops…some insta FX. The knobs are controlling EQ and FX.

I have a lot of faders left over that are not mapped. I am saving them for the TSP2!

The mapping i use is from Derders. If you look for the HouseSQ (I think it was) APC40 mapping, you will see a picture of what the functions of the buttons are. This is just duplicated and slightly changed for my APC80.

So it is the best for me…as I have visual feedback on EVERYTHING…and no mode changes for Juggle Mode etc.
