birthday present help

i’m after some advice. my mates girlfriend has been asking me about a present for him.

he used to have 1210’s cdj’s djm. he was short of cash starting a family and had to sell the cdjs & djm.

she wants to buy him something for his birthday but only has a £200 budget.

atm he’s got an ipad, 1210’s and an attic full of records. he wants to use the 1210’s and play his digital records through his ipad on traktor dj. he’s not got a laptop or computer.

any ideas on what she should spend the cash on? i was thinking like a soundcard and/or a mixer would get him going?

any help apreciated

i’m pretty sure the ipad traktor app doesn’t support timecode

Thanks for the help I’ve been out the loop myself for a bit. I’ve got an s4 but just use it at house party’s and stuff so not been keeping up to date with new gear.

The z1 looks good. He can start mixing again with the iPad then look at adding more to his setup later.

He won’t be using dvs really, I mentioned the 1210’s so he could play his Vinyl as well but he’ll be more interested in getting traktor dj going.

yeah, a z1 would get him going. or help your friend’s wife to add couple hundreds more to get the new s2 mk2 that is also compatible with the dj app. :slight_smile:
