SO my friend lives in the same area he dj’s 2 and he is starting out his own page and stuff. He knows that i have one 2 and i get some views. The other day he sends me this through FB:
“itl be cool if u didint post too much vids cus i need ppl to be directed to my channel for the project
if thats aight with u sahn”
I feel like this is totally disrespectful. I’m not gonna stop doing something i love because a friend wants to ge more views or some shit… Is he wrong? PS when ever he has dj issues I am mostly his first stop and I help him…
LOL @ him.
Thats like dada life asking tiesto to stop posting on facebook and making music for a minute so they can get more popular.
I’ve always been a big believer in never burning bridges but just tell him you arent competing with him, and he needs to step his work up if he wants to get talented/gigs etc.
I’d tell him that I’ll keep running my channel but could help get him started on some material to attract his own crowd. To me, he sounds like an eager beginner.
The comment I left under another account is this: It’s funny how I came open this video. My friends DJ name is “ABO” I was searching his page. DJ Abu from the looks of it no one is going to tell u this because very few have seen this video. DJ Abu good mixing is not creating a playlist of songs that have already been mixed and then matching beats from song to song and adding in some sub-par effect. The mix is a cloth each song is a string they must weave in and out and create fluidity. Going from one song to another and back. Best Wishes…DJ
There are a fuckload of DJs in my town, of all different styles and abilities. Why the hell should they back off so I can make a name for myself and take gigs from them? I’ve had to knuckle down and improve, and it’s done me the world of good.
