Buying headphones from China off Ebay?

Buying headphones from China off Ebay?

Hey guys,

So I need a new pair of headphones and decided on Sony’s MDR-V700. (Not up for debate these are what I’m buying) I’ve used them before with good results and my Pioneer HDJ-1000s ear pads have worn down so much they almost make me bleed.

So I searched eBay and there are dozens of these headphones from China listed for around $30.00 w/ free shipping. Retail on these is around $150.00 so I’m kind of skeptical. They are advertised as brand new in original box w/ documentation.

Has anybody had any experiences with discounted electronics from eBay? It’s kind of the too good to be true situation so I’m just looking for some more info.

Thanks

Rule of thumb: If it sounds too good to be true, 99% of the time it is. Pretty positive there was a post not too long ago about a kid buying fake sennheiser cans even though they were listed as authentic.

If they cost $150 retail and they are on eBay for $30 then they are as fake as Pamela Andersons knockers and a lot less fun.

You get what you pay for (said the prostitute to the vicar).

China? Hahaha! Don’t even try it!

ive seen mdr700s for sale in chicago at every Target in the city for 30 bucks… they may not be bootlegs, it just may be un updated pricing

For the love of God no!

I thought I was getting a deal buying 50$ about 6 months ago or so from some place in the states, they are utterly destroyed right now and have given me troubles since I bought them.

DON’T!

Finally, their price would at last reflect their quality lol

Lol

I know you’ve got your mind made up regarding the V700’s, but for anyone else reading this thread… stay clear of the Pioneer HDJ-1000 knock-offs that are being sold on eBay too.

stay clear of ANY headphones on ebay… if someone says they are an official reseller for whatever company, email the customer service of that company to see if they are
