Seeing how many amazing scores some of the US guys make on CL or ebay I wanted to share what I have to deal with here in Switzerland. Just this morning I got a message back from a guy selling some gear:
Pioneer DJM 600 - 1100 CHF (700 sells for 950.- new, 800 for 1600.- new)
Pioneer CDJ 800 - 1800 CHF for the pair (a pair of CDJ 850 sells for 1900.- new)
KRK Rokit G8 - 800 CHF (a pair sells for 500.- new)
And he even wrote that the DJM sells for 1400 CHF in shops (no shop carries it anymore)
I guess I’m just venting but this is pretty consistent, especially with pioneer or technics…some guys try to sell a pair of CDJ 200s for 600 CHF!
lol same here in the us. Used & discontinued passive behringer speakers for $300 a pair when you can get brand new for $110 free shipping.
one guy was selling powered jbl’s that were nice but again used & discontinued for $1050 a pair when even guitarcenter has them for only $300 each.
Happens all the time on Craigslist. Most of those items never get sold, but hey - if they do, the seller makes a killing!
Speaking of annoying sellers, I contacted one about a stack of power amps. He said he could meet me at a bank. I told him, “well that would normally be fine, but I need to test all of the amps first.” His response? “Sure, we can just run in the bank and find a power outlet.”
