Buying used pioneer gear - what questions should I ask?
I’m moving up from and S4 (I love you S4, but I’m moving on) and am eyeing used gear. Specifically used CDJ 900 or 2000 (neither nxs) and a used pioneer DJM-900nxs mixer. I would like some help about what kinds of questions about the gear I should ask and things to look for that would indicate its fake, damaged, etc. since I have bit made a purchase like this before and it is a pricey one, can anyone help me out to prepare myself?
i bought some cdj 1000’s that were actually about 6 hrs away from me. at the time with the way work was there was really no way i could make the trip to pick them up myself. so i had asked the person (who was actually really pleasant to deal with) to take a video of him using the cdjs normally trying out all the functions etc. made the sale happen for me and i got them shipped to me and have been enjoying them ever since. if your unable to check them out yourself i would suggest maybe asking for some video or at the very least some pics.
o and i always drag the pics into google images to see if they were posted anywhere else online. helps me decide if the person is a wanker or a scammer.
