Can anyone help me map the Z2 hot cues?
I’ve recently started learning mapping in traktor. It’s going pretty well so far! I have an X1 MK2, F1, and Z2. I have successfully mapped the effect controls on the Z2 to control effect unit 3 and 4 since the X1 handles 1 and 2.
Because of the X1 and F1, the hot cues on the Z2 become kinda useless (in both normal and remix deck mode). I have hot cues 1-4 on the X1 and would like to map hot cues 5-8 to the Z2 hot cues. I haven’t found in/out mappings that control hot cues 5-8 in the software, what are those called? I need out as well so the buttons can get the correct color for the cue. And by the way, how do I choose LED color depending on cue type?
When controlling deck C and D (which are remix decks) on the Z2, it would be cool if the hot cue buttons enabled/disabled FX units for those decks. I guess I need to use the selected deck on the Z2 as a modifier condition to achieve this.
And one more thing - Can anyone explain the difference between default mappings and user mappings? When creating a new mapping - I usually duplicate the Default mapping for the controller in question, and then turn of the in port for the actual default mapping and enable it for my mapping.
When mapping the Z2, I’ve noticed that the mappings are piling up and there’s no way to get a good overview. Is there a way to split mappings up into different user mappings (like one for the FX mapping only, and one for cue mappings etc) and use them all at the same time? When using two different Default mappings, I’ve noticed that all button presses will register twice (once for my custom mapping and once for the default mapping).
