Can someone explain how DVS works
All I know is that you have two TT’s and a mixer and 2 funnie color records plus your favorite software thats about it. Please enlighten me on the technical aspects on how it all comes together thanks.

You can also have two CDJs and funny looking CDs.
Basically, you have Traktor/Serato and your digital song collection. Put one of the funny colored records on your turntable and set Traktor/Serato for that track to be DVS. Then load one of the songs from your digital collection into that track. Put the needle on the record and the turntable controls the digital file - pitch bend, scratching, beat juggling, whatever. It’s as if the funny looking record is the vinyl version of the actual digital file.
Sweet thanks for the information I didnt know you could use CDJ’s as well thats news to me wow.
In technical terms, the records and CDs contain a computer tone that the computer can use to determine exactly where the needle is at any given moment, allowing you to use it like it were a controller. I haven’t actually listened to one, but I suspect it sounds a little bit like touch tone DTMF sounds or perhaps a modem or FAX connection noise.
It doesn’t sound pretty.
