Can someone tell me Which effect is that?

I was recently hearing some of the DJ sets i have downloaded to get some tips/tricks for epic drops and transitions.

i came through with this one from martin solveig:

at 42:23 he holds a vocal from his song ‘‘Can’t stop’’ ‘‘nowwwwwwwww’’ and just holds it there until he drops it to warp 1.9

Can someone tell me how to recreate this effect on traktor 2?

yeah he just looped it and then threw on a high pass filter

It’s not looping, you try looping it and adding filters and it’ll sound nooowwwwwNowwwwwNowwwww, it’s not a constant nooooooowwwwww

it can be a few things, like a freeze with a filter, beatslicer in adv mode with a certain pattern.

try it out, i’ll do the same.

Tried bit slicer, still can’t achieve it.. i really want to achieve an effect or a combination of effects really close to this, it’s pretty good for drops.

I think i’ma have to call martin solveig and ask him..hold on guys.

Is there a chance that its an actual edit of the song that he has, rather than adding the effects in on the fly?

Something like that in ableton would be seriously easy.

and still on topic: if there’s a way to do this LIVE ON THE GO on traktor, it would be sick for drops.

It’s a transpose stretch in advanced mode…
