Can Traktor 3 and Traktor Pro be installed on the same computer?

Can Traktor 3 and Traktor Pro be installed on the same computer?

Yeah just wondering if you can have both of these installed without any conflicts?

my main concern is if i write tags onto tunes with Traktor Pro that it will mess up the tags that Traktor 3 has written.

i run both at diff times with no problems in any areas

I’ve tried it on pc and Mac it works fine

Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It. Do It.

okay beautiful… yeah just about finished my new mixtape which i think will be the last project i create using traktor 3.

now that tpro2 is on it’s way it just seems time to move on.

It should be perfect as it is on mine!

word… i imagine the same will go for tpro2, that’s what i’m going to install as soon as it’s available to purchase.

not to sound like an ass or anything but i didn’t know people still used traktor 3.

were there things about it that pro couldn’t recreate?

3.4 is still solid as a rock. When Pro 1 came out it was so buggy i went back to traktor 3 for 6 months till NI ironed out the kinks. Only problem is the collection files aren’t compatible so you basically have to start from scratch if/when you upgrade.

Just last week i installed TPRO on a DJs system.
I installed her Traktor 3 that she used for about 3 years and she just bought a Mac and TPRO.

She hates TPRO.

Only cus she isnt used to it and, i have to say she is a whinger and moaner anyway.
Ive told her to give it a few weeks cus she isnt the first DJ to find moving over troublesome and to be honest, all her gripes are the same cliche gripes that people jump on like the Incremental Search function and Sync.

I didnt make the move straight away if im honest. Took me about 6 months to finally ditch T3

You be right duerr.

word

it’s mostly the functionality of traktor 3 that i’ve gotten so used to, i’ve been using it since it’s the very first version release.

there are minor differences in workflow that traktor pro changed which i think was to simplify things, but for someone who had traktor 3 mastered, it didn’t make it particularly more simple - just a brand new workflow to adopt.

i’m stubborn that way i suppose. if i have the choice between learning the ins and outs of a new software or just doing some music - i will almost always prefer to just get into the music.

but i really want to sink my teeth into traktor pro 2, the addition of sample decks opens up a lot more creative possibilites that i’m excited to experiment with.

Traktor 3 has Scratch build in, if I remember correctly, but what 'bout this- I just found my Traktor 2.5 CD when I searched for my Maschine-DVD. Funny how you always find everything EXECEPT the thing you are looking for isn’t it?
Oh, BTW: Have both installed on my Mac, works perfektly.

Nah, it doesnt dude. You need Traktor Scratch installed/activated to be able to use timecode with Traktor 3.
2 separate applications.

Strange- I thought I used T3 for testing out the Tonetable-App… And when I checked the settings just now, I have the tracking-tab there. But I’m no expert.
